Join us Thursday, October 17 for ODC Night Out at Lickity Split

The Services We Offer

Our programs and services are designed to help meet the needs of local businesses in a cost-effective and high quality way, while also providing our participants with vocational training and employment opportunities.

Why Work with The ODC?

Working with the Occupational Development Center is a win-win situation! Not only are you helping to provide a path to independence for adults with developmental disabilities, but you are gaining the services of skilled workers at an affordable cost, either at your location or ours.

Some of our business partners include:

Work Activities Center

We do a variety of tasks at our own facility, located at 640 Martha Avenue in Lancaster. These pre-vocational tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Assembly
  • Packaging
  • Sorting
  • Collating
  • Standard & First Class Mailing
  • Bulk Mail, Parcels & Priority Mail

But, in short, we love a challenge. If you have a job and are in need of workers, contact us and let’s see if we can meet your needs!

Mobile Work Crews / Transitional Employment

We bring a supervised crew of our hard working and enthusiastic participants to your location to perform many of the same tasks as listed above, as well as other tasks, such as light janitorial and yard cleaning work. Our work crews are covered by our own workers’ compensation insurance. In addition to providing much-needed transitional employment to our participants, these opportunities help to build independence and self confidence, while learning marketable skills.

What our community partner, Kinsey’s, has to say…

“The team from ODC has been such a great support in our daily operations at Kinsey’s, and we’re proud to be working with such a wonderful organization. The ODC Mobile Work Crew arrives with a positive attitude that is contagious throughout our company. The way they support one another to accomplish the goals we’ve laid out for them is inspiring! The ODC employees are always happy to assist with any tasks we need, such as assembling boxes, packaging a variety of different products, applying labels, etc. and they take great pride in a job well done.

Kinsey’s would highly recommend ODC to any local companies that want to help their business while also helping the community!”

Supported Employment in the Community

This program assists individuals with developmental disabilities in finding and maintaining competitive, supported employment in the community.
