Position: Program Supervisor
Status: Volunteer
Education:
High school graduate or General Education Development certificate required
Experience:
Minimum of one-year work experience in industrial work, sheltered workshop or other rehabilitation setting required.
Provides supervision and training to workers to assure satisfactory completion of work.
· Instruct workers, individually or as a group, in the use of tools and production procedures for each job.
· Set up workstations to accommodate worker needs and abilities.
· Allocate and distribute work materials to assigned workers.
· Monitor workers during the production process to ensure correct production procedures are used.
· Encourage proper work behavior and present self as an appropriate work-related role model to workers.
· Assist in the correction of incomplete or defective work.
Maintains appropriate program records to ensure proper billing of services and payment to workers.
· Document the hours worked of assigned workers on a daily basis.
· Count and document the daily production of each assigned worker.
· Complete delivery slips accurately and record worker progress towards established vocational and training goals.
Maintains supplies, materials and equipment to assure a safe work environment for all workers.
· Follow, enforce and train workers in appropriate safety procedures and the proper use of safety equipment.
· Assure that the assigned work area is clean and free of obstacles.
· Attend to minor first aid needs of the employees.
· Report all incidents of employee complaints or work-related injuries/ issues immediately, and document all such incidents as specified in the agency’s Incident/Unusual Incident Policy.
· Report maintenance or safety issues immediately to the Production Manager or immediate supervisor.
